Dust-proof electric motors are used in industrial plants with a potentially explosive dust atmosphere, containing conductive dust, non-conductive dust and combustible flyings). The enclosures of electric motors are designed to be “flameproof” according to EN 60079-0 (IEC 60079-1).
These are three-phase asynchronous electric motors with shot-circuit rotor, according to the EN 60079-0, EN 600079-1, EN 600079-7 and EN 60079-31 standards.
